Create work orders from internal repair requisition lines after assigning the requisition lines to parts in bins.
Follow these steps to create work orders from internal repair requisition lines.
Open the Assign internal repair requisitions to WOs form (SXIRWO).
Organization, Department, and Purchase requisition—Click to select an organization, department, or requisition for which to find requisition lines. Click Clear criteria to remove all values from the selection criteria fields.
Click to query for requisition lines. Datastream 7i retrieves all approved internal repair requisition lines that are fully assigned to bins and are not related to a work order.
Choose one of the following options:
Add all requisition lines to a work order—Click Assign requisition lines. Datastream 7i marks the items to add to the work order.
Add individual lines to a work order—Select Attach to add a specific requisition line to a work order.
Choose one of the following options:
Add the requisition lines to an existing work order—Click next to Create WO to select an existing repairable spare work order.
Add the requisition lines to a new work order—Click , for Department and Equipment, to select the department and equipment for the new work order.
Click , for Standard work order, to select the standard work order to associate with the new work order.
Click Create WO. Datastream 7i creates a new repairable spare work order and adds the requisitions lines.
When internal repair requisition lines are added to a work order, Datastream 7i decreases the Quantity to be repaired on the stock record and increases the Quantity in shop. If the part is tracked by asset, Datastream 7i also changes the equipment’s Status to In repair.
After finishing the work, receive the repaired parts into stores and then close the work order.
