> Reopening Closed Work Orders

Reopen closed work orders when changes to the work order are required or when requisition or purchase orders related to the closed work order must be generated. Only Datastream 7i users with proper authorization may reopen closed work orders.

   To grant users the authorization to change the status of a work order from Completed to Released, use the Status change authorization form (BNAUTH).

You can also reopen closed work orders on the Record view page of the Work orders form (WMJOBS).

Follow these steps to reopen closed work orders.

  1. Open the Report on work completed form (WMCOMP).

  2. Query for the work order to reopen.

  3. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

  4. Status—Click to change the work order status to Released.

  5. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.

Datastream 7i selects Reopened when the work order is saved.
