> Rescheduling Work

Reschedule work either for the short term or for the long term.

Follow these steps to reschedule work.

  1. Master calendar—Select to retrieve schedules for all work orders and their associated children. Datastream 7i only displays master schedules for work orders that have Master calendar selected on the Work orders form (WMJOBS).

  2. Adjustment—Enter the number of days by which to reschedule work orders.

  3. Select one of the following options:

Datastream 7i allows you to update the Target date, Priority, and Status of the short-term work orders.

Datastream 7i also shows details of PM work orders awaiting execution and allows you to update their Due date, Frequency, Fixed indicator, and Status.

  1. Query for the work order. Datastream 7i displays related information in the left scrolling window and a calendar of possible rescheduling dates in the right scrolling window.

  2. Choose one of the following options:

If conflicts occur during scheduling, Datastream 7i selects Conflict and displays a Conflict description. Datastream 7i also selects Conflict Resolved if the problem was corrected.

  1. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.

If PM Revision Control is activated, PM fields on this form are read-only.

Additionally, if you have created a nesting reference between major and minor PMs to bypass a minor PM that coincides with the release of a major PM, Datastream 7i will bypass any minor PMs associated with the release of the major PM.
