> Screening Work Requests

Screeners and routers review work requests after originators create them. Routers send requests to screeners for review. Screeners add work orders to the backlog when appropriate and ensure that no duplicate work orders are approved.

Route work orders to another person, department, or status. Users can review either work orders that they are authorized to modify or work orders that have been specifically routed to them.

You can only insert/update/delete work orders if you are authorized to do so. Refer to the Work order type authorization form (WNJBTA).

Follow these steps to screen work requests.

  1. Work order instructions—Enter work order instructions.

  2. Print—Select to print work order instructions on the work order card.

  3. Route to—Click to select the screener to whom to route the work order.

  4. Reason—Enter the reason for routing the work order to the screener.

If PM Revision Control is activated, PM fields on this form are read-only.

Reassign the work order to another Datastream 7i user by clicking Reroute. Then, enter the screener to whom to reroute this work order in Route to and the Reason for rerouting.
