> Approving/Rejecting Workflow Processes via E-mail

To approve or reject workflows, first identify the e-mail format by which to approve or reject the workflow. Identify the e-mail format to receive in Notification preferences on the Users form (BMUSER). Users can only approve/reject workflow processes via e-mail if the e-mail format is Mail text, Mail HTML, or HTML attachment.

   To avoid incorrect response values, do not include automatic signatures in the e-mail response.

Refer to the following table to approve/reject workflow processes via e-mail:

Reply to the e-mail and, within the e-mail response template, enter Approved or Rejected between the quotation marks ("") as indicated.

Open the e-mail, and then click Approved or Rejected at the bottom of the e-mail.

Open the HTML document attached to the e-mail, and then click Approved or Rejected.

Note: Click Reassign to forward this approval request to another approver. Datastream 7i displays a form at the bottom of the screen. Enter the appropriate information, and then click OK. Datastream 7i reassigns the approval request.
