> Defining Workflow Preferences

This section outlines the procedures for configuring workflow for Datastream 7i users. Define global settings as well as settings for individual users.

Follow these steps to define workflow preferences.

The System Administrator defines the global preferences using the following steps. Users define individual user preferences by logging in to the workflow module as the user and then clicking User Preferences. Workflow displays the User Preferences page with the same setting options as global preferences.

  1. Log in to the workflow module. Workflow displays the Workflow home page.

  2. Click Global Preferences. Workflow displays the Global Preferences screen along with your current preferences.

  3. Click Update to modify any of these settings. Workflow displays the Global Preferences screen.

  4. Workflow Administrator—Click to select the role to which to assign workflow administration privileges. To assign privileges to all users, enter an asterisk (*).

  5. Workflow Web Agent—Enter the base URL for the Oracle Web agent.

  6. Language and Territory—Click to select the language and territory combination of the user’s notification sessions.

  7. Date Format—Enter an Oracle8-compliant date format, which defines the default date format for the workflow database session of all users.

  8. Document Home Node—Click to select the default document management repository from which users access document attachments.

Define and update e-mail notification preferences in Datastream 7i, not Oracle Workflow.

  1. Click OK. Workflow reconfigures the global preferences.
