To initiate a workflow process, open the form corresponding to the process to start, and then change the status of the record. For example, to initiate a purchase order workflow, open the Purchase orders form (PMPORD), query for the purchase order to initiate, and then change the status. Datastream 7i initiates the workflow.
Follow these steps to initiate workflow processes.
Open the form corresponding to the process you want to start, e.g., Purchase orders (PMPORD) or Quotations (QMQUOT).
Query for the record for which to start the workflow.
Status—Click to change the status from Unfinished to Ready for printing.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information and initiates the workflow process.
