Associate inspection points with specific equipment or categories. For example, when examining the tread wear on tires of a 1996 Ford van, the equipment is the van, and the inspection points are the four tires. You can also associate inspection points with categories.

Follow these steps to define equipment inspection points.
Open the Monitored data form (IMMONT).
Query for the equipment or category to associate with inspection points.
Click the Points tab. Datastream 7i displays the Points page.
Point type—Click to select the inspection type to associate with the equipment or equipment category. Datastream 7i displays the Description and Origin of the type. Origin indicates whether the value is derived from a category (C) or if it is directly associated with the equipment (A).
Point—Enter the inspection point number.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
