> Defining Work Order Inspection Points

Associate inspection points with a particular work order/inspection aspect combination. Use this feature only when the inspection route has no status (before results are entered into the system). On a printed work order card for a piece of equipment, Datastream 7i includes all the inspection points and inspection conditions for each aspect in the route sequence.

You cannot retrieve or modify PM work orders if they have not been released. Once a PM work order is released, you cannot reset its status to Awaiting execution if the route has a viable status.

Follow these steps to define work order inspection points.

  1. Open the Work order inspection points form (IDWOPO).

  2. Query for the work order/aspect combination record to associate with inspection points.

  3. Sequence—Enter the sequence number of the inspection point.

  4. Equipment—Click to select a piece of equipment to associate with the work order/aspect combination.

  5. Type—Click to select the point type to associate with the work order/aspect combination.

  6. Point—Click to select the point to associate with the work order/aspect combination.

Origin indicates whether the inspection point relates to equipment (A) or an equipment
category (C).

  1. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
