> Associating Equipment with Material Standards

Associate equipment with material standards. When you update the material standard data or associated equipment information, Datastream 7i automatically selects the Changed check box to indicate that the system must recalculate minimum/maximum critical value using the updated material standard.

Follow these steps to associate equipment with material standards.

1. Open the Material standards form (IMMSTD).

2. Query for the material standard with which to associate equipment.

3. Click the Equipment tab. Datastream 7i displays the Equipment page.

4. Equipment—Click to select the equipment to associate with the material standard.

5. Piping class—Click to select the piping class to which the equipment belongs.

6. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
