> Defining Material Standards Temperature and Stress

Define a relationship between operating temperature and component stress for material standards. Operating temperature and component stress values are provided by the manufacturer of the equipment or by international standards organizations.

Follow these steps to define material standards temperature and stress.

1. Open the Material standards form (IMMSTD).

2. Query for the material standard for which to define temperature/stress.

3. Click the Temp/Stress tab. Datastream 7i displays the Temp/Stress page.

4. Temperature—Enter the normal operating temperature.

5. Stress value—Enter the component stress.

6. Coefficient—Enter the temperature coefficient.

7. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
