Follow these steps to define the piping class.
Open the Piping classes form (IMPIPC).
Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.
Piping class—Enter a unique code identifying the piping class, and then enter a description of the class in the adjacent field.
Class—Click to select the class of the piping class. The classes shown belong to the PPCL entity.
Material standard—Click to select the material standard with which to associate the piping class.
Design code—Enter any designations defined by the manufacturer or by international standards organizations for the piping class.
Corrosion allowance—Enter the maximum thickness allowable for corrosion before reaching the reject limit.
Design temp min and Design temp max—Enter the design temperature minimum and maximum in degrees Celsius.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
