Follow these steps to record inspection results for risk-based inspections.
Open the Monitored data form (IMMONT).
Query for the equipment for which to record inspection results. You cannot enter inspection results for equipment categories.
Click the Result tab. Datastream 7i displays the Result page.
Aspect—Click to select the aspect associated with the equipment. Datastream 7i selects Related aspects if there are children associated with the aspect.

Click All points to insert records for all inspection points related to the inspection aspect for the equipment. |
Point type—Click to select the inspection point type for which to enter results.
Point—Click to select the inspection point for which to record results.
Result—Click to select the result type. Select one of the following options:
V (Valid)—Select V to indicate that Datastream 7i uses the result in trend analysis.
I (Invalid)—Select I to indicate that Datastream 7i does not use the result in trend analysis.
D (Discontinuity)—Select D to indicate that Datastream 7i restarts the trend analysis.
Date—Enter the date of the inspection.
Conf rating—Click to select the confidence rating for the aspect point.
Completed—Select to indicate that all results are recorded and verified for this record. Datastream 7i freezes information for this record.
The above fields are fixed. Datastream 7i displays variable fields based on the selected aspect. Once you select the Aspect in the header, Datastream 7i displays the prompts related to the aspect that were defined on the Prompts page of the Inspection aspects form (INASPC). Enter information for the prompts accordingly. Datastream 7i displays prompts with formulae as read-only attached at record insert or update. Datastream 7i updates these fields when you save the record. If you selected Random result on the Record view page of the Inspection aspects form (INASPC), you may enter results without selecting a point and point type.
