Update budget records after making changes to budgets. You can also use the Budgets batch update form (UBBUDU) to view the budget position. The current budget position is costs "planned but not yet ordered" or "ordered but not yet received." Depending on the scope of the budget, you may want to run the calculation process during down times, such as in the evening or on the weekends.
Follow these steps to update budget records.
Open the Budget batch update form (UBBUDU).
Budget—Click to select the budget for which to perform the batch update.
Budget year—Click to select the year for which to perform the batch update.
From period—Click to select a period.
To period—Click to select a period.
Add budgets—Select to add budgets for more than one period.
Select one of the following options:
Both—Select to update the budget total and budget position.
Total—Select to update the budget total only.
Position—Select to update the budget position only.
Click from the reports toolbar. Datastream 7i updates the budget records and saves the information to the database.
