> Calculating Work Order Costs

Calculate the time/material costs for selected work orders.

Datastream 7i selects work orders for which no approved or invoiced calculations exist and then determines the closest matching contract. The pricing schedules of this contract are used in combination with the standard Datastream 7i cost functions to calculate costs and charges.

Follow these steps to calculate work order costs.

  1. Keep values—Select to retain the values entered after calculating work orders and closing the form.

  2. Released work orders—Select to include released work orders in the calculation.

  3. Completed work orders—Select to include completed work orders in the calculation.

  4. Completed from and Completed to—Enter the start and end date of the period for which to calculate work order charges.

  5. Click on the reports toolbar. Datastream 7i calculates the work order charges and prints the report.
