> Entering Data with the Prompt Machine

Enter data into the data collection module with the Prompt Machine form (TDTRAN) instead of a barcode scanner, as necessary.

Follow these steps to enter data with the Prompt Machine.

1. Open the Prompt machine form (TDTRAN).

2. Query for the transaction type for which to enter data. Datastream 7i displays the prompts associated with the transaction type.

3. Enter data as necessary.

4. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
