> Generating Shutdown Work Orders

Generate work orders, directly from the project management module, for a specified shutdown identification code.\

If you are using MOS, you must generate shutdown work orders for a specific organization. Therefore, you cannot associate shutdown work orders directly with a master project in a common organization. If you need to create a shutdown work order for the organization of the master project, you must create a subproject in a specific organization for which to execute the shutdown work order. By associating the subproject of the work order with the master project, the shutdown work order will be associated with the master organization indirectly.

Follow these steps to generate shutdown work orders.

  1. Open the Projects form (JMPROJ).

  2. Query for the project for which to generate shutdown work orders.

  3. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

  4. Click Create shutdown WOs. Datastream 7i generates work orders for the specified shutdown identification code. (The value in the field next to Create shutdown WOs shows how many work orders will be created.) The project status must be Approved before Datastream 7i generates the work orders.

Once created, Work orders created is selected, and the value in the adjacent field shows how many work orders were created.

If you have not associated the budget code of a shutdown work order with the project on the Budgets page of the Projects form (JMPROJ), Datastream 7i does not create the shutdown work order.
