View detailed cost summaries of a project on the Overview of project costs form (JOCOST).

The Overview of project costs form summarizes and compares estimated, planned, actual, and total costs for project cost categories. It also summarizes and compares the cost of materials on order, the free budget remaining, and the difference between the actual cost of each cost category and the invoice cost for each project cost category. Datastream 7i also displays all costs rolled up to a master project from any associated subprojects.

Datastream 7i automatically adjusts project costs upon approval of a credit or debit note recorded for an invoice or invoice line associated with a work order. The project cost adjustment is based on the update of Average price for stock items (PS), direct materials (PD), fixed price services (SF), contractor hire (SH), and hours from service (ST) on purchase order lines associated with projects.

Average price is updated based on the setting of the INCREDIT installation parameter.

Follow these steps to view detailed project cost summaries.

  1. Open the Overview of project costs form (JOCOST).

  2. Query for the project for which to view a summary.

  3. View the project summary.
