Issue stock using a barcode pen.
If you have selected FIFO or LIFO as your pricing method, Datastream 7i calculates the transaction price of issues to work orders, equipment, projects, or pick lists using the R5FIFO table, rather than retrieving the base price from the R5PARTS or R5STOCK table.
Follow these steps to issue stock.
Open the Stock issues form (SDISSU).
Scan the work order and activity barcodes on the printed work order. Datastream 7i responds in one of three ways:
Datastream 7i copies data into the section at the bottom of the part column.
Datastream 7i recognizes the default character prefix, W, for work order and inserts data into WO/activity.
Datastream 7i clears the data from the section.
Issue—Select to enable issue functionality.
Click Barcode pen.
Scan the barcode for part, work order, or barcode catalog.

When issuing multiple quantities of the same part, either scan in the part barcode multiple times or scan it in once and enter the issue quantity using the keyboard. When issuing a part by asset, scan the barcode of the equipment, not the barcode of the part. |
Scan the barcode for lot and bin.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
