> Setting Up External Label Printers

Set up printers from external label software to print barcode labels in Datastream 7i. Define external label printers to print barcode labels from the Received goods form (SMRECV), Company receipts form (SDCOMP), and the On-dock receipt form (SMDOCK).

Follow these steps to set up external label printers.

1. Open the Barcode printers form (BNBARP).

2. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

3. Printer code—Enter the printer code as defined from the external label software, and then enter the description in the adjacent field.

4. Printer model—Click to select the barcode printer model.

5. LPS user—Enter the label print server user.

6. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the changes to the database.
