Export depreciation data from Datastream 7i to Microsoft Excel as necessary.
When exporting depreciation data, Datastream 7i exports data for all of the records currently held in the query results set on the List view page.
Specify a Depreciation type to extract depreciation data information specific to the selected Depreciation type.
Follow these steps to export depreciation data from Datastream 7i to Microsoft Excel.
Open the Equipment form (OMOBJC).
Query for the equipment records for which to export equipment depreciation data.
Click the Depreciation tab. Datastream 7i displays the Depreciation page.
Click Export to Excel. Datastream 7i displays the Export depreciation data to Excel dialog box. Datastream 7i displays the number of records retrieved in the query results set on the List view page in Equipment records, which indicates the number of records for which depreciation data will be retrieved and exported.
Depreciation type—Select the type of depreciation data to export based on the agency/body to which the depreciation data must be reported.
Leave Depreciation type blank to export all types. |
Start date—Enter the starting date by which to retrieve data.
End date—Enter the ending date by which to retrieve data.
Start date and End date are not required. You can enter dates or leave one or both dates blank as necessary to broaden or narrow the time period for which data is retrieved and exported. Datastream 7i exports depreciation data for the entire period during which the Start date and End date fall. |
Choose one of the following options:
To group the depreciation data by fiscal year intervals—Select Fiscal years. Datastream 7i retrieves and exports the depreciation data for the specified period based on the fiscal years established for your organization.
To group the depreciation data by monthly intervals—Select Months. Datastream 7i retrieves and exports the depreciation data for the specified period based on monthly intervals.
Click OK. Datastream 7i displays the Export to Excel dialog box.
Datastream 7i calculates depreciation expense for each record in the query results set when you click OK. Therefore, generating the data may take some time depending on the number of records for which data is being generated and the specified parameters. |
Click Export. Datastream 7i displays a message indicating the number of records that will be exported and asks whether you want to continue.
Click Yes. Datastream 7i opens a new browser window and displays the exported records in a table.
Click Convert. Datastream 7i displays the records in Microsoft Excel or displays the File Download dialog box.
Save the file as necessary.
