> Printing Barcode Labels using Oracle Reports

Print barcode labels with Oracle Reports using the Print barcode labels form (SRBLAB).

   Use the Print barcode labels form (SRBLAB) only with a workstation that has the MS–DOS operating system, and initiate Datastream 7i from the command line.

The layout of the label depends on size and orientation variables set up at your site. The standard label size is 15.2 cm x 10.1 cm.

Follow these steps to print barcode labels using Oracle Reports.

  1. Open the Print barcode labels form (SRBLAB).

  2. From part and To part—Click to select the range of part numbers for which to print labels.

   Use the Class and Preferred supplier selection parameters only when querying for parts. Use the Equipment parameter only when querying for equipment.

  1. Lot—Click to select the lot of the parts for which to print labels.

  2. Store—Click to select the store of the parts for which to print labels.

  3. Bin—Click to select the bin of the parts for which to print labels.

  4. Equipment—Click to select the equipment code of the parts for which to print labels.

  5. Category—Click to select the category of the parts for which to print labels.

  6. Serial number—Enter the serial number to print on the label.

  7. Maximum value—Enter the maximum number of labels to print.

  8. Keep values—Select to keep query values on the screen.

  9. Select items to print on the barcode labels by selecting Lot, Store, Bin, Equipment, and Serial number. Unselected items are not printed on the labels.

  10. Select the type of items to label by selecting Parts or Equipment. Parts and Equipment refer to ranges of parts and equipment.

  11. Single label—Select to print a single label.

  12. Choose File | Print from the menu bar. Datastream 7i prints the labels.
