How do I get an account to access the Logbook?
For logbook access, you need to visit UCAMS and request access following these steps:
  1. Click on the "Main Menu" link.
  2. Click on the "Access Management" link.
  3. Select the "Resource by Owner" and "Request" radio option and press the "OK" button.
  4. Select your account if not already defaulted to it and press the "OK" button.
  5. Select the "Spallation Neutron Source Production Database" item in the Resources selection list box and press the "Select" button.

What are the browser requirements?
The logbook is designed to work with any modern browser which supports the open web standards. See the browser requirements in the release notes for more information.
I entered my password wrong a few times and now the Logbook won't let me login at all. What happened, and how do I get my account access restored?
Your account will be blocked for 24 hours if you enter your password incorrectly three consecutive times in any application that connects to the production database. If you need your logbook access restored sooner than 24 hours, please contact the Logbook Team to request your account to be reactivated.
Whom do I contact to be added to or removed from a Logbook calling list?

What is the easiest way to upload several images or attachments?
This Logbook supports multiple file upload. You can press the image/attachment file chooser button and select multiple files to upload in your browser's file chooser. You may also be able to drop a batch of files onto the file chooser button to upload them if you browser supports it. If you browser doesn't allows you to select multiple files then you will need to upload them individually. Make sure you are running the latest version of your browser.
Why does my logbook session time out after a short idle time?
We are bound to the ORNL security requirements for session timeout of web applications and the current 30 minute logbook timeout is an approved extension to the lab policy. The countdown begins after the last request you send to the Logbook server and gets reset whenever you make a new request. If you are making a new logbook entry, be sure to periodically save a draft to avoid losing your work should the logbook timeout before you publish your entry.
Why does the Logbook complain when I save a draft of my entry with a work order number?
Work orders can only be saved when an entry is published (not saved as a draft) because work orders are managed on a different database system. The binding between an entry and work order cannot be marked as draft.
