Move parts between stores as needed, with or without creating a requisition. For transfers with requisitions, Datastream 7i tracks the transactions between the stores; therefore, the parts achieve an in-transit status until they are received by a store.
Transfers without requisitions are intended for very quick material movements, and Datastream 7i does not track the transaction or show the parts as being in-transit between stores. Instead, the stock levels in the sending and receiving stores are adjusted immediately after Datastream 7i saves the transaction.

If multi-organization security is activated, you cannot transfer items between different organizations unless the item is common. If the item is common to all organizations, you can transfer the items between different organizations using requisitions. |
