> Defining and Managing Change Notices

Vendors issue change notices specifying defective equipment, which they replace without charge to the customer for a certain period of time. When vendors issue change notices, record them in Datastream 7i. Then, identify equipment affected by the change notices, reference change notices on work orders, and track transactions and events for equipment associated with change notices.

Once you have defined the change notice and associated it with affected assets, keep track of the change notice by updating its status on the Change notices form (TDCHNO).

   Ask your system administrator to set up change notice status authorizations.
