Create blanket purchase orders for recurring purchases that normally require a purchase order. Blanket orders are typically used to order a fixed number of items and/or service hours from the same vendor for a predetermined price or over a specific period of time.
First, create blanket order headers, and then add parts and/or services. Define blanket order value limits at the header and the line level. Specify a maximum quantity for parts on the line level and/or a maximum number of hours for services at the line level.
After approving the blanket order, you can then use the blanket order to generate partial or complete purchase orders as necessary.
