> Defining Initial Work Information

Work orders rely on work order types, equipment, departments, locations, and problem codes. Define these codes in other Datastream 7i modules prior to using the work management module.

Datastream 7i supports the "department security" concept, which means that only users associated with certain maintenance departments can modify existing work orders or create new work orders for that department. Users not associated with any specific department are allowed to update or create work orders for any department. Department security parameters must be defined prior to using the work management module.

Define initial work information before using the work management module.
